Having studied architecture in Romania, praticed there and in Canada, also taught design and drawing for many years, Ina has chosen to concentrate on painting. The brilliance and texture that pastels are giving to a painting, their vibration and life have persuaded her into using them for most of her paintings.

The subjects approached are mainly landscapes rendered in a modern impressionistic style trying to convey to the viewer the feelings inspired by a certain place. Her still life compositions are showing the beauty of everyday objects and their meaningful relationship. She also loves doing life studies celebrating the harmony of the human body.

By annually joining painting workshops she is keeping in touch with other painters and maintains a permanent exchange of ideas. She is also participating in many juried shows each year, winning prizes; her work is in private collections in America and Europe.

Ina is living in Ajijic, Mexico.
For information on status and prices of her paintings she can be contacted by email at: inak.gi@gmail.com.
